Pastor Chuck has been with us since July 1st, 2026. Born and raised in Hopewell, Virginia, Pastor Chuck has a deep love for the Tri-Cities community and a lifelong commitment to serving the local church. With nearly four decades of pastoral ministry experience, he brings seasoned leadership, practical wisdom, and a passion for helping people grow in their faith.
Pastor Chuck earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Emmanuel University. He later completed a Master of Theological Studies (M.T.S.) at Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond, where he was honored with the Amy and Clyde Hickerson Greek Award, the B. Elmo Scoggin Hebrew Award, and the Crouch Leadership Award. His master's thesis, The Satan-Figure in Mark 1–5, reflected his early interest in New Testament studies and biblical theology.
Continuing his academic journey, Pastor Chuck earned a Master of Theology (Th.M.) from Union Presbyterian Seminary, where he studied apocalyptic literature under the mentorship of Brian Blount. His thesis, Prophetic Speech and Empowered Community, later served as the foundation for his first monograph, published in 2020.
Pastor Chuck also completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Renewal Theology with a concentration in Apocalyptic Literature from Regent University School of Divinity. His scholarly interests include biblical Greek, the Gospels, the Book of Revelation, and apocalyptic theology. In addition to his pastoral ministry, he currently teaches graduate and doctoral-level courses in New Testament, Greek, and biblical studies at both Regent University and Emmanuel University, where he enjoys mentoring the next generation of Christian leaders and scholars.
Above all, Pastor Chuck treasures his family. He is married to his lifelong love, Margie, and together they have three daughters—Meg, Meredith, and Maddy. They have one granddaughter, Zee.
